Unlike traditional lens dyes, Rise’s patented process creates and incorporates novel nano particles into the lens substrate imparting unique filtering properties previously unavailable to eye care professionals. And due to our unique process, our treatments do not scratch or wear off. Our nano particles decay far slower than traditional chemical coatings extending the filters useful life for years.

Treated lenses can be produced by optical laboratories around the world with limited equipment and training.

The Impact of Light

In a controlled study conducted at The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology under bright light conditions, diabetic rats exposed to short- and mid-wavelength visible light (below ~550nm) experienced far greater retinal damage than rats exposed to longer wavelengths such as red light (>630 nm).† Best results were achieved when blocking wavelenghts below 530nm by up to 90%.
